What is the Stories Module
News Feed .vs. Stories
The Stories Module is like the News Module but has a more
extensive feature set. The primary differences are:
- Tag Capabilities – you can create and assign
tags to individual stories.
- Story List Presentation – you have more options on how a story list can be shown, what is shown for each story is customizable on the page. Which stories that are shown is based on the custom tags selected.
- Story Pin Option – You also have the option to
pin 1 or more stories to the top of the list based on a tag.
- Story Publish Workflow - Allows for Story Editors to create content and Publishers can review before story goes live. (optional)
- Story Search – You can also allow users to search stories for specific stories based on tags and/or text.
- Column Layout Options - Allows you to create a custom layout for your news article using different column options and block types
Please note that the Stories Module is an Add-on
feature with both a 1-time setup fee and annual fees.

The stories are shown horizontally with the most recent story larger and centered.
Grand Rapids Public Schools - Story Search Example
The
Story search is interactive and shows a list of stories based on the
search criteria. When the user selects a story from the search results,
it is shown on the same page.
Kentwood Public Schools - Story Layout Example
The
Story Layout supports the addition of various column layouts and content to create custom newsletters or informational pages.
